## The Challenge of Orthopedic Trays

## The Validation Process
Following **ISO 17665** standards, validation involves:
* **Biological Indicators:** Placing highly resistant bacterial spores at the “most difficult-to-reach” locations in the tray.
* **Thermocouple Mapping:** Placing heat sensors inside the case to ensure every part of the tray reaches the required 132掳C/134掳C for the full duration.
* **Moisture Testing:** Ensuring the tray is completely dry at the end of the cycle (wet packs are a major infection risk).
